The mission of the Community Idea Stations is to use the power of media to educate, entertain and inspire while delivering high-quality training and resources to the educators, students and families of Central Virginia. Stemming from this mission, Classroom Clips was created to assist parents and teachers in finding on-demand media to support their students’ instructional needs.

Launched in September 2007, Classroom Clips allows users to search and explore a wide range of educational content which has been correlated to the Virginia Standards of Learning. Featuring many locally produced programs, users are able to stream video and audio clips on topics such as history, government, science, and art.
